that is in fact literally in the bible. it's Matthew 6:5.
5 "And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

Old InfoWars' staff appear to have also done some ransacking on the way out. This is some of the property the families planned to eventually sell off to collect on this judgment, in a studio we were prepared to pay up to take over.
Property was removed from the Infowars studio, including a large Infowars sign that was often used as a backdrop for programming. (Harrison Smith Twitter Photo). It is likely that Jones or those acting on Jones’ behalf took the property. (Jones Son’s Twitter Video “This place will never die. It will never go away. Yet the most-egregious conflict of interest is that asset managers like KKR (Global Atlantic) and Apollo (Athene) have bought interests in insurance and retirement companies, taking their billions and investing them in AI data centers and software. www.wheresyoured.at/hatersguide-privatecredit/
According to an article in BIS Quarterly Review published in March 2025, insurers account for 9.5% of private credit investors (with pension funds accounting for a terrifying 30.7%).

That’s a lot. Collectively, it amounts to more than 40%. — It seems as though much of that insurer-provided funding is going to a relatively concentrated group of companies. According to analyst firm Oliver Wyman, insurers provided 43% of assets at the top-seven listed private credit firms in the Q3 2024 period.

This figure is a steep jump from 32% in Q4 2021, and, when you calculate the difference between assets already held by private credit firms between those periods, means that more than half of all new capital going into private credit came from insurers.
The “risk” in this case is something that can be heavily gamed, such as when an asset manager owns an insurance company, allowing it to loan money to itself using its own funds and collect a management fee for the assets under management. For an example as to where this becomes a problem, per Nick Nemeth of Mispriced assets, 67% of Apollo’s management fees come from charging its own insurance affiliate Athene (which it merged with in 2022) for investing its money.

And this blatantly-obvious conflict of interest is to blame for the culture shift. As I’ve hinted at previously, asset managers have been either buying stakes in or the entirety of life insurance and retirement funds and then taking their money for a joyride.

Worse, the asset manager doesn’t even have to buy the whole insurance company. For example, Blackstone — who bought a minority stake in AIG (yes, that AIG)’s Life and Retirement Business for $2.2 billion in 2021 (though it’s now known as Corebridge Financial), allowing it to manage $50 billion in assets at first and then as much as $92.5 billion by 2027, charging management fees likely numbering in the hundreds of millions of dollars a year. Blackstone President Jon Gray also sits on the board of Corebridge.

There are a bunch of models for how private equity gains control over insurers, and the scariest part is that said private equity company doesn’t even need to take full ownership, or even a majority stake, for the transformation to happen, as I mentioned with Blackstone’s AIG (now Corebridge) deal.

According to a 2023 paper from the International Monetary Fund called “Private Equity and Life Insurers,“ a private equity firm might buy a small (but strategically meaningful) slice of an insurance company, typically less than 10%. They will then enter into a “strategic alliance,” where the private equity firm starts directing their portfolio of the insurer.

I don’t like my writing style as much back then but I’m proud of this piece from August 2024 about the collapse of the Software As A Service industry. I hadn’t learned finance fully at that time and thus didn’t think about the debt side! Rookie mistake www.wheresyoured.at/saaspocalyps...
The answer is simple: the tech industry's desperate attachment to artificial intelligence is largely fueled by the Saas industry, because Al is the first meaningful new "thing" they've had to flog to customers in quite some time, and because so many of these solutions are sold in bulk on annual contracts signed by people who aren't the end user, artificial intelligence feels like something that they can put on top of another solution and claim it's new.
Theoretically, Al seemed like manna from heaven.
It was an entirely new industry that you can either sell services into (like data storage and
processing) or build services using. Al has a near-mythical pedigree that makes braindead CIOs and CEOs that don't really know (or care) what their people do all day sit up and say "wow, I need to make sure we're using the bleeding edge of technology" to investors and partners. It's hard to overstate the significance of a collapse of growth in the Saas market, as is it hard to overstate how dangerous generative Al is to its fortunes. While these companies had costs before, generative Al is multitudes higher than regular cloud compute costs, meaning that any new revenue growth from this software will be burdened by leveraging an increasingly-expensive solution to a problem that most of them have trouble describing.
And if the revenue never arrives, they'll be faced with the same problem as the rest of the tech industry - that they've run out of ideas to generate growth.
At that point, they'll have to reckon with the fact that there are too many software companies incapable of solving any problem other than "how do we find a new way to charge customers for
something?"I realize this is all a bit technical, but the very basic thing to know is that SaaS companies must grow, and their way of growing is growing and upselling ("expanding") customer revenue, and that specific thing is declining. SaaS sales teams are built to land accounts and then grow them using
"customer success" teams that find new ways to
"get more out of the software" using the customer's credit cards, which is why so many SaaS companies acquire completely different business units (like Salesforce, which just acquired a data protection and management company for $1.9 billion for some reason) as a means of further penetration into the customer's existence.
And if that business model is dying - if customers are no longer as easy to upsell, let alone retain - then things are going to get desperate.

U.S. Strikes in Middle East Use Anthropic, Hours After Trump BanWSJ
PATRICK SISON/ASSOCIATED PRESS
Within hours of declaring that the federal government will end its use of artificial-intelligence tools made by tech company Anthropic, President Trump launched a major air attack in Iran with the help of those very same tools.
Commands around the world, including U.S. Central Command in the Middle East, use Anthropic's Claude AI tool, people familiar with the matter confirmed.
Centcom declined to comment about specific systems being used in its ongoing operation against Iran.
The command uses the tool for intelligence assessments, target identification and simulating battle scenarios even as tension between the
company and Pentagon ratcheted up, the people said, highlighting how embedded the AI tools are in military operations.
The administration and Anthropic have been feuding for months over how its AI models can be used by the
Pentagon. Trump on Friday ordered agencies to stop working with the company and the Defense Department designated it a security threat and risk to its supply chain.

OpenAI’s “$100bn” round, instead of $50 billion, Amazon is investing $15 billion with $35 billion contingent on AGI or OpenAI going public. Nvidia and SoftBank both investing “$30 billion in 3 installments.” Microsoft investing either “low billions” or “less” or “none.” Feels unstable!
Amazon's decision to invest up to $50 billion in OpenAI could hang on whether OpenAI goes public or reaches a loosely defined milestone known as artificial general intelligence, which generally refers to AI that is on par with human abilities, according to three people involved who have communicated with
OpenAI executives.
Under the terms of the investment, which are still being negotiated, Amazon would initially invest $15 billion into OpenAI, these people said. The other $35 billion could hinge on OpenAI reaching AGI or going public, the people said. The proposed Amazon investment is part of OpenAl's current funding round, which could top $100 billion at a valuation of $730 billion before the financing. In addition, SoftBank and Nvidia each plan to invest $30 billion in three installments through the year as part of the round, said the people. Microsoft had been expected to invest low billions of dollars, The Information previously. reported, but it could invest a smaller amount or none at all, according to two of the people.
