Last night was duet gaming playing Holmes & Clark, with the author Aron Clark. We did it old school style with a single player playing all the PCs. It was fun and I did all sorts of mental gymnastics with the different characters and their emergent narrative

I had a similar experience with a fake person on a play by post forum for Hero System games. Person played a ton of different games and posed as a female named Randi. This was early aughts probably. Soured a large portion of that community.
