I GM’d a session of my 2-player #DnD game last night - @Geekoholick couldn’t make it, so the other player decided to work on his tower/inn. It was a purely logistics-based session: selling items, paying retainers, making deals, and it was heaps of fun! #DungeonsAndDragons #TTRPG

With AI so prevalent, it’s the time for more online communities to form. The “open web” is a threatened species. The answer may be to build “trust networks”. Groups of individuals you trust & admire. The #TTRPG scene is a good example. But it cannot be on walled platforms. #DnD

Instead of having a bunch of unrelated posts, in reverse chronological order, each post would sit with similar posts, and then sub-organised into how gamers use it at the table (whether that's group, solo, or worldbuilding). Secondary hub pages would be vital. #TTRPG #DnD

There are many ways you can turn #DnD from a “kitchen sink” fantasy into one that makes sense. Limit weapons (or materials) to certain nations/cultures/races, limit monsters found in those regions, think about culture & food & clothing. #DungeonsAndDragons #TTRPG

One trait I took away from races in Issue 58 of d12 Monthly is any sort of racial darkvision/infravision. Elves get low-light vision & dwarves get deepvision. This means torches, lanterns, or magic are a must & it keeps darkness scary. #DungeonsAndDragons #TTRPG #DnD

Working slowly on a project where I see how monsters in #DnD affect the ordinary lives on common folk. Herders, for example, have a lot more to worry about than wolves and bandits - monsters roam and hunt, as well. #DungeonAndDragons #TTRPG
