I think these guys might be the most “I thought you were a collectible” enemies I’ve seen in any game. every time I see them I have to fight my gamer instincts to not jump at them immediately

the current game dev strategy that's working for me is keeping a checklist in my daily journal I cross stuff off and boxes that are left unchecked are simply moved to the next day's entry. so I've got both reminders of what I need to do and a record of what I've accomplished on previous days

I know I've mostly been posting backlog-related stuff here lately so I want to make it clear: I've still been working very hard on my game! at this point, the areas are starting to feel pretty fleshed out, and the number of scenes I have left to fully develop is dwindling. slow but steady progress.

finished Zelle! weird and lovely game. if you like oddball rpgmaker horror-type stuff, you should check it out. it's got a really unique energy.

looks like the first game I've landed on is Zelle! I'll mark it on the board and get started on it once I have time. pretty happy with this as the inaugural game! glad I avoided those huge RPG/VN landmines, definitely not ready for them to get dropped on me right away
