He has a bad drive or approach shot and it wrecks him. He gets so mad. I get one solid drive (just matches his, a man almost 30 years my senior) and I'm on cloud 9. If I land a chip shot within a couple of feet of the hole, I'm thinking I might make it to the senior tournament soon.

Seeing the Cubs and Sox in very similar but somehow very different situations to start this postseason is like when I go golfing with my father-in-law. He shoots really well. He golfs a lot, wins tournaments in his gated community. I golf once every couple of years.

As a lifelong Sox fan partnered with a lifelong Cubs fan, anything I say after this gets me in trouble. I do not hate the Cubs. I was not raised like that. My dad did not care at all about the Cubs. The Cubs are my second favorite MLB team. I want them to win but I am not invested in them directly.

This is Maeve. She may be the sweetest, most good natured, most trusting dog I have ever met. She was abandoned in DC last week, and since I’m not able to adopt a dog now, I had to turn her over to the Brandywine Animal Shelter. I want to make sure this absolute delight of a dog finds a good home.

They added a second day, but it sold out. I believe my neighbors across the street ended up with tickets to both days. We were at the Sidebar Friday night when they wheeled in a machine. It wasn't even set up yet but you could still smell it.

My 20 y.o. child got a ticket for speeding at 2:30 in the morning last night. Fine, that's on them. They got a ticket for no proof of insurance. Fine, easily resolved when we show proof. They got a third ticket for expired registration, which is utter bullshit.
