currently doing reading around the HDLP - and this caught my eye cycling from 1.6% to 15%. < Massive jump
Evidence report 10.24 The STPR2 package outlined in the STPR2 Highlands and Islands Appraisal Summary Table (THC119) is expected to boost active travel in the Highlands, raising the share of walking journeys from 17% to 20% and cycling from 1.6% to 15%. This aims to make walking and cycling more convenient, encouraging people to choose these modes over driving.

Should cyclists wear headphones or earphones? Chair of Ireland’s parliamentary Committee on Transport wants your views

The chairperson of the Oireachtas Committee on Transport is seeking the public's views on wearing earphones or headphones while cycling -- a common complaint about cycling even when motorists are cocooned in soundproofing and loud sound systems. The committee chairperson, Michael Murphy, who is a Fine Gael TD for South Tipperary, said: "Do you think cycling with earpods and headphones is dangerous?
