Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 20/01/2026ha! You sounds like me in the last year. Many of the thoughts & feelings I had growing up I thought were standard.. were not. Embracing my differences has made me SO happy! Now I'm learning to work with myself. Oh - I'm 52. Female, minority, uncontrolled masking (but I see it now). 100
Reposted by HeliaaRichard Kadrey @richardkadrey.bsky.social · 05/10/2025THE FLESH KING will be out this Tuesday! It continues Ford, Neuland, and Tilda's story back home in New York, where they are blackmailed into hunting down an immortal killer. Also, my cat says please buy it because we're out of chicken and chicken is life. 😿 69818

Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 15/09/2025Hello! Yeah, I'm not on the socials as much right now. Hope you're doing well 010
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 29/08/2025Well, I'm happy for you and that the problematic organ was removed. society can be bullheaded about some things. Heal quickly and hopefully the loss of the organ will have minimal impact on quality of life (per YOUR definition) 000
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 28/08/2025I will respect your privacy, but not going to lie. My own health issues have taught me that we can't just count on doctor's knowledge. Other people's experiences can provide a crucial clue. I'm glad you're recovering, though. Very happy!! 100
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 28/08/2025That is wonderful news. I've been following you for a while so I've seen some of the bumps in the road You have to deal with. Did you share any info on what it was? I'm always looking for that rare bit of information that might help someone or myself. 100
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 27/08/2025I've been offsite for quite some time, scrolling to see what info you shared on this. Glad you're recovering well. Assume this was related to the issues you've had this past year? Hoping all is resolved. Take care of yourself! (and your cute l'il boy) 100
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 27/08/2025True story: my dad bought himself a watch to take his bp. He took it constantly. Went to doc, bp was high, doc told him to stop taking his bp. 000
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 27/08/2025I am SO SO far behind.. you scaring me... but hopefully by the time I catch up, I won't need to worry?? 100
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 27/08/2025I'll take the one on the right. oh...that wasn't the question? 000
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 27/08/2025It's been an age since I've been here. Book work, then found an online game where I ran into a bunch of wonderful people. Been spending way too much time there just chatting - but it's nice cause I get to be myself 100%. No masks. Not that I think so - I don't control mine, as I learned last week. 120
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 19/08/2025@lycomorpha.bsky.social When I first ran into you and you shared your love of moths, I wanted to share this pic with you, but I couldn't find it! Just came back in my FB memories. When I Googled the image, it said it was a Tolype moth. - just beautiful! 182
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 16/06/2025idk how that movie appealed to people, except for the special effects. Anyway.. yeah, women in need of rescue happens less in action movies nowadays. Nice change 110
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 16/06/2025Well now I don't feel too bad. Both characters are named Nate. I thought I was really messing things up. Especially thinking of the conversations I've had with one of the authors. I was freaking out that I had misnamed his character. 000
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 16/06/2025Ever feel like your brain's tied in a knot when you pick up a book expecting one character find out it's another character and try and figure out how you got the messed up but now you're trying to remember what the first characters storyline was all about. 100
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 16/06/2025And preferably not the typical trope about women being demur and needing rescuing. Do not get me started on stereotypes. All my life people have tried to fit me in them and I don't. For the record I like WW84 and Halle Berry's Catwoman. 110
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 16/06/2025Are you kidding me?! I didn't want to see Titanic. Couldn't stand DiCaprio back then and I'm really not into romance. I'm an action type of woman. True I like the occasional romance but it better have a really good story. + 100
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 16/06/2025I can't remember if we saw that one in the theater or not but the only reason we saw is because my husband wanted to see the ship sink. Else would not have ever watched it. 110
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 15/06/2025GIVE ME!!!!! There's something about the old covers... Thankfully, I started collecting before he became so mainstream. But that one - I don't have that one. I want that one. Gimme. Because you like me :-D *lol* 110
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 15/06/2025Then make sure it's good! I thought the Zack Snyder cut was WAY WAY WAY better than the released version. I've watched it more than once. Better character development, better story. But especially the character development! 110
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 14/06/2025Oh yeah, don't even have to think about it. Will not be watching. Did just read tho, nearby town officially opening a veterans memorial they've built.... Maybe for that? 120

Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 10/06/2025Found an interesting thread where people were discussing The danger of being in a room with a bat. This sad story was brought up as proof that you may be bitten and have no proof. The lesson is if you're ever in a room with a bat get a rabies shot. Also the shots are not what they were in the past. 020
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 10/06/2025Do you have to work it until you remove all the grit? Or do some watercolors have grit and that's just the way it is? 110
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 10/06/2025I recently rewatched and I loved watching for when it was a stunt double but then also when they changed your boots from heels to flats. That always made me smile. 000

Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 10/06/2025You're right big difference I don't mind reading up on ppls personal business lol but sharing of articles and things like that feels less personal. Although I have to admit I do share stuff so often it's to share a smile or push an artist I like. But I do post my own stuff. Either way no one cares 000
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 09/06/2025I use mute for people I want to follow, but they post WAY too much. I have them in a list and I can check on them when I want to do a lot of scrolling. (no John, you aren't there. Yeah, they post way more than you!) 110
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 09/06/2025I'd hardly call this an echo chamber! I've seen people who would vote for the same person get into arguments and block one another. Some of those are people wording things badly and the other person just looking for a troll. 000
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 09/06/2025My friend of Asian descent friend did teach me the finger method for measuring the water.. but I'm more comfy with a measuring cup. But I *do* own a rice cooker :-P And I love it! We use it weekly. 010

Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 09/06/2025@kithrup.bsky.social have you read any of the Preternatural Chronicles by Hunter Blain? Very quirky to say the least. I wouldn't call the series (I'm only on book 2) a masterpiece but it is fun. Finished book one and went straight to book two and I think there are 10. 100
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 06/06/2025I think Casey had a warm smile for everyone. As long as I've known him, I didn't realize how many lives he's touched. I'll miss trying his new concoctions at the merc. 110
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 06/06/2025That's something I'm noticing here - no one wants to share the feeder, excepted mated pairs. Maybe if I get a hanging feeder and they can be around it, not see each other.... Gotta admit - feeders are addictive! I love the action. I'm currently trying to learn to tell the diff btwn my BlueJays. 100
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 05/06/2025a.co/d/ffIxwDg a book can't be all that bad if the author has at least two shout outs to one of my fave authors, @richardkadrey.bsky.social. I'm still reading but it has an interesting main character lol. Though I will say I didn't care for the Cosby reference...a.coAmazon.com: I'm Glad You're Dead: Preternatural Chronicles Book 1 (The Preternatural Chronicles) eBook : Blain, Hunter: Kindle StoreAmazon.com: I'm Glad You're Dead: Preternatural Chronicles Book 1 (The Preternatural Chronicles) eBook : Blain, Hunter: Kindle Store 010
Heliaa @heliaa.bsky.social · 04/06/2025I feel lucky that he was a part of my life. But right now, I'm feeling.. what? My heart hurts. I'm bewildered. I keep kicking myself that I should've gone there this weekend to say bye.. but that makes no sense. Always let those in your life know you appreciate them. I'm glad I did, but still... 000
