Thanks to @BBCFoodProg, I learned that tipping in the US exists because restaurant lobbyists wanted to hire newly-freed black workers and not have to pay them. Racism's tendrils are in everything in this country.

Cuomo is the reason my mother had to die alone in the hospital after he flooded her nursing home (she was in for physical therapy and cancer treatment) with Covid patients. The hospital and nursing facility had active fridge trucks for the bodies while he walked around like a hero. Fuck him.

Genuinely hope a ceasefire has been agreed to between Israel and Iran AND HOLDS. Given the history of ceasefire agreements the past nearly two years, everyone should pause before celebrating. It must hold. If there is a ceasefire, there must be a ceasefire in Gaza and an arms embargo on Israel.

Instead of being in settings its in the google app. Also, google, not chrome. Icon is a G, not the circle thing. Click on your pfp to open a menu

From there, go Settings > Gemini > Digital Assistants > Switch to Google Assistant. This disables Gemini, google's Al assistant, and switches you back to the old one. We aren't done yet.

Go back to Settings. From there, we go Settings > Google Assistant > scroll to find General > Google Assitant on/off > turn it off

They really tried their best to make it a pain, but you can eventually disable it. Holding the power button on your phone still pulls up a menu and asks you to turn it back on, but this is the least intrusive you can make it.

Applies to all non-apple phones afaik. For sure Samsungs and Pixels but idrk about others

#xmen Why did they have to make all the mutants all monster like? Sure, many mutants don’t look human, but it's odd how they make them look like a generic monster horde ready to kill, while the main X-Men of this book all look human.
