My class has a class PE slot with me on a Tuesday afternoon. End of term hitting hard today & there were audible groans from kids normally desperate to run around. So class vote was to prioritise their mental health & wellbeing. We got out our Phoenix comic how to draw sheets & had a chilled hour!

Okay I know I like to go on about how much I love living in #Orkney but really, how can you argue with this? One of my former landlords came round to see the new house this evening and brought me this box of goodies from them all! 🥰 I was so fortunate to rent from them for 6 years.

Well the clouds stayed thin enough that we got some decent views of the #Eclipse through them in #Orkney. I sat and watched with my neighbours who are a school family and happily geeked out in telling the kids about it 😄 the youngest will be 69 by the time of the next #FullEclipse 🤯

Since it's been the agricultural show week here in #Orkney this week's cheeseboard highlights Orkney cheese, crackers and chutneys. I do appreciate our local produce and producers! #Cheese #ShopLocal

Apparently out of all my to-do list, playing around with an updated banner was the priority this afternoon 😆 But seriously, I don't hide what I stand for, and I will keep using my voice to speak out against injustice and for equal rights and social justice. Feels like it needs saying this week.

7 years ago I got off a flight to Kirkwall for a 1 year teaching job. 7 years later I'm a homeowner and can't imagine living anywhere else 🥰 I'm incredibly fortunate and grateful that life has brought me here. Made the most of local salmon and scallops for dinner tonight to celebrate. #Orkney #Home🏠

Behold the drawer organisation! I'd got one set of Joseph Joseph blox organisers for my cutlery and used some of the excess in this drawer. Indulged in another set and now feeling rather gleeful about everything being tidy and organised in this drawer. Then let's see what it looks like in a month! 😆

I was going past & when they had it explained to them they couldn't believe that in the past their classmate wouldn't have been allowed to be in the same class as them in the USA. So this happened yesterday 🤩 Overall the process has been straightforward but yesterday was a will it/won't it complete today which was a bit nerve-wracking. 3.20pm and I heard the house was mine 🎉🏡🥂 #NewHome #Homeowner

The sun came out and I decided to celebrate the #MayBankHoliday with a meze platter instead of the usual cheeseboard.

Some evenings are too good to waste. Chips, sea, sun and a 5 mile walk! A beautiful evening in #Orkney 😍
