Did you know that you can get the new n' improved version of His Forever Family in both ebook AND print? (Probably not, because I am *super bad* at promoting my books!) But @skyladawn.ca is making me do this b/c her covers are awesome, so... A PROMO! WITH LINKS! sarahmanderson.com/books/his-fo...
The image features two versions of the same book cover--one in paperback, one as an ebook on an ereader--The coral cover features the title "His Forever Family" in white text against a faint gray skyline of Chicago in the background. To the left is a blond man in a dark suit looking at the viewer. To the right is a dark haired woman in a cream top and a teal skirt looking at the bassinet. The center is the bassinet, which is gold with white netting draped over it and little white stars around it. At the bottom is Sarah M. Anderson, the author's name. The background is red and features the words "Now Available"

Or maybe they need to understand that a positive approach to immigration is closely tied to a healthy economy. Just like they’ve come to understand that membership of the EU is what strengthened their economy, not British exceptionalism.

If you're in the UK, for just 9 more days, you can scoop up the ebook of my cozy-spooky fantasy rom-com Wooing the Witch Queen for only 99p! www.panmacmillan.com/authors/step... & of course it's still available everywhere else, too: stephanieburgis.com/books/wooing-the-witch-queen #romancelandia
In the centre of this image is the beautiful British cover of Wooing the Witch Queen, by Stephanie Burgis. The illustration shows a man in a cloak riding headlong through the night towards an ominous castle with an illuminated, crowned female figure in its doorway and bats flying overhead in the moonlight. A potion vial surrounds that central image and is further framed by leaves and branches. Crows sit on the branches, and a tagline reads: Love can be a witch. A blurb from Sangu Mandanna reads: ‘Warm and lovely’
Around the image, against a starry night background, are various pieces of text connected to it by arrows. They read: “bi villainous heroine,” “sweet cinnamon-roll hero with a fake identity,” “crow friends,” “found family,” and “flirting with fountains pens.” At the bottom of the image are the words: Only 99p this September!

Unsolicited writing advice, no 2052: Consider writing diverse characters, not because they represent you, but because they are part of the world you inhabit. Why write a small world when you can write a wide one?

Yes. 100%, yes. They don’t even have to be a main character. If you’re able & white & don’t want to presume, then make them a non-white nurse/architect/teacher or deaf or autistic side character. Except not the villain. Just make us visible.

I believe you can sort of do this already as donations to charities in your will are made before your estate is valued for IHT. If your charity donations are large enough, the rate of IHT reduces.

Admittedly some of the history I learned in school has been found to be oversimplified but I’m sure I was taught that the Normans brought feudalism to England which was a form of slavery and therefore bad. And this may be responsible for our entrenched class system today.
