If a single AI bro had ever used self check out at Fred Meyer, we'd never be in the mess we're in with AI. It's so obvious that some jobs take a human touch.

No child should have to sit and watch while masked officers open fire on his father.  House Democrats have a duty when we take the majority. Get ICE agents off our streets.  Keep them away from our children. Abolish ICE.

I have a face that makes strangers want to tell me their life story. I don't want to hear everyone's life story. Riding the bus in high school, I learned that even the most lukewarm, half shrug is more than enough encouragement.

Holy moly what a GORGEOUS day! Used my lunch break to walk to Director Park and through the PSU farmer's market, ran into an old friend... Just a perfect #pdx October day!

Why is the city of Portland able to find $120 million for the Moda Center but can't find $50 million for Portland public schools?

Today is Chester A. Arthur's birthday. I think he's one of our most interesting forgotten presidents. From his early law career at an openly abolitionist law firm to his career in machine politics, benefitting from the spoils system, to his unlikely presidency... He's an interesting guy!

Dr. Oz is on my flight right now. He is sitting in the very first seat, front row. I saw him get on the plane. So when I stepped off the jetway onto the plane I approached him and put my hand out. What the man in charge of healthcare for the people on the very margins of society said…was revealing

I've been following this saga all morning. What a crazy travel story! Do you think PDX will have the therapy llamas waiting at the gate when they finally arrive?

I was enjoying talking to old friends so much tonight I forgot to eat dinner. I'm not a "oh no, I forgot to eat" kind of person normally, but I've got some pretty interesting friends!

It's so unfair that I have to sleep and eat and do chores and run errands and work. All of that is wasted time when I could be painting or crocheting or knitting or sewing or reading or cross stitching or writing letters. I was clearly meant to be an independently wealthy regency lady.

I don't know what the police bureau was hoping to accomplish by bringing up Mitch Green's tweets from 2020-21. All it's done is remind me about how lawless their behavior felt at that time and how many Portlanders were poisoned by CS gas in their own homes.

Here me out: give every high school three elderly dogs that just hang out all day. They can wander around the administrative areas, hang out in the cafeteria, fall asleep under the history teacher's desk... And they get picked up every evening by their family or foster family.

i am incredibly excited to share our research about how paying people’s rent through mutual aid made an impact on minnesota this year we accidentally collected more data than anyone ever has for an effort like this, and can very seriously say we prevented an eviction bubble that everyone expected

At one point Mr. Trump asked attendees to raise their right hands and pledge to him that he would vote with their family and friends.
Dutifully, they did.

If downtown #pdx is so dead, what's with all the traffic? Why are the no parking spots? It's almost like downtown is pretty great and people like doing stuff on the weekend!

The scruffy guy with the neck tattoo on my bus this morning didn't notice his stop was next until about half a block away. "Oh, sorry! Sorry!" he shouted to the driver, earnestly contrite. The driver managed to stop & this tattooed gentleman said, "thank you, sir!" as he hustled off the bus.

Young me was lucky enough to see this. First thing I saw on Broadway, went ‘cause I heard the Rocky Horror guy was playing Mozart. Had no idea who the other actor was. Was annoyed at first to see that his part of Salieri (who?) was more the lead character. But became a fan of Ian McK that night!

All of this stuff with the Blazers feels like a microcosm of the bigger problems in this country. A billionaire is negging our city council into a budgetary boondoggle & will move the team the second he's able to no matter what they do. & people will hate city council, not the billionaire.
