I peaced out of Bsky in July of last year, after the Black artists I followed voiced issues with systemic racism, harassment, and lack of moderation support. It didn't seem like a community I wanted to lend my labor to. For those of you who stuck around; did things ever improve?

I went viral on LinkedIn once, and it did exactly one thing: made my notifications unusable. It's spam and starvation wages all the way down, but every once in a while I get a funny one.

The author, whose name is Elizabeth, responds within a minute with the message: "I am extremely and very obviously not Monica."
