I don't think there's any real incentive for Trump to escalate the war in the near term (both via Iran or Houthis), but he's also clearly stuck in a situation where the gas/diesel situation is getting worse and there doesn't seem to be a way out of that problem

Come the next recession states should think seriously about coercing towns to merge or at the least moving certain services to the county level. Things like licensing/permitting, and housing/zoning planning and approval are ripe for consolidation

I really want a Dem administration to pitch a large immigration expansion as a way to cut the deficit. Using the Manhattan Institute's calculator you could easily cut $1.5T over 10 years, and lower the debt/GDP ratio by 5%
