This happened before we moved to Cornwall (which was when I was two) but I’ve always been aware of it, and I give regularly to the RNLI because life in the UK (let alone Cornwall) feels incomprehensible without it and I don’t understand how it doesn’t sit alongside ambulance, fire and police…
