I'm so proud to know one of the tools I built is actually being used by people. A lot of my stuff just ends up in the ether but spent some time improving SEO and had a bit of patience and it's finally working. 🎉

Chrome shipped an LLM Prompt API to the web platform. At Mozilla, we oppose this API. Here's why:

Who writes <Button state="hover">? Nobody. So why does AI keep generating it? Because Figma models hover as a variant, and AI doesn't know the difference between what a design describes and what code should do. hannahgoodridge.dev/blog/figma-variants-vs-pseudo-classes

Stop Generating State Props: Figma Variants Are Not CSS
Figma teaches designers to build hover, focus, and active states as component variants. AI tools faithfully translate this into props. The result is code nobody should ship.

Can you site which LLM you have been using along with any other tools for this article? I find a few MCP servers have improved design to code outputs like figma MCP but the results massively vary per model and still not anywhere near 100% accurate.

How to make design hate you in 3 easy steps: 1. Design roll out design system 2. Devs criticise it with lots of back and forth 3. Implement in code using another design system
