@baddestmamajama.bsky.social Jessica, I was rewatching The Vampire Lestat, and Sam Reid is, without any hyperbole, one of the best actors I've ever seen. Do you think this season will open doors for him? It's hard for me to think of a director or writer watching this and not wanting to cast him.

From the start of the THE VAMPIRE LESTAT, it's been a common sentiment that Sam Reid is performing so well that it's like he's being possessed by the vampire. It's well meaning, but undervalues Reid's skill. Lestat isn't possessing Reid, Reid is possessing Lestat. www.backstage.com/magazine/art...

@ninametz.bsky.social Nina, can I ask, are you going to write about The Vampire Lestat? I always loved what you wrote about Interview with the Vampire, and I just watched the first episode of the new season. Sam Reid is an insane actor, and I can't wait for whatever's coming.
