listen. listen to me. libraries are getting indie TTRPGs in circulation. high school teachers are bringing weird stuff to the teenz TTRPG club. we continue to be in a beautiful moment for showing more people the full breadth of what games can be. nurture it by playing & loving games!!! a gift!!!!!

I can't articulate all the horrors being foisted up on you by the technocrats and the fascists, but I can articulate this one. He's fully posable, howling at the moon, and and is absolutely full of k'nex.

We differentiate "sexuality" from "fetish" solely to indicate which kinks you're allowed to make fun of people for.

We still have less than half the followers we had on Twitter/X. If you like what we do in terms of comics coverage and #comicscommunity please do give us a shout-out and a recommendation to your followers. The bigger our reach the better we can promote cool projects/creators. Thank you!

Welp. I deleted my post from the DBA Facebook group. The only comments I got were negative — "What's the point of something so small?" and "I don't like the thick bases." Whatever happened to not saying anything if you don't have something nice to say? 😡

Bad idea I'm sure someone's had already. "Oh yeah, that's the discord server I'm dating. No, it's not a polycule thing, or um, maybe it is? I joined the server and was then notified that I'd opted into a relationship with everyone in the server."

I have exactly 3 copies left of Ursula, Katie Lane and mine’s gothic horror comic about catholic guilt, queer longing and the unforgivable sin of colonialism, so if you want a copy I suggest getting it before they’re gone as there’s no plan for a reprint erikapriceart.bigcartel.com

Today, like many other days, I am thinking about minimum viable products. Given the kinds of games I design, I am often a victim of scope creep, where I've designed too many mechanics and need to parcel them in expansions so that jumpers in aren't immediately drowned in cheeky keywords.

New blog post where I ramble about minis I wanna make. I'm extra partial to the idea of being able to make an army out of a handful of spins in the same mold, and the versatility required in that design in order to make that possible.

I don't actually know about those beans and their kulture but these drawing are based on some minis from Sprue Goblin Games that I thought were rad.

Do beans bean-lieve in heaven, or some afterlife reward after a valorous death? I don't know, but maybe it'd look like one of these.

Here's an idea for a spin mold I'd like to make someday. A few little guys with a couple of big guys to say "haha" or something.

Someday I want to be a cartoonist again. Hopefully that dream isn't all dead, and can someday be part of the creation I nurture now. It's taken some healing and will take a lot more before I can be comfortable and confident making work the way I did before, but I'm not without hope.

After that, some very good friends helped get the book to print, and it was even ready in time for MICE. I was grateful, but it was too late. So now it's almost a decade later. I still make comics sometimes, but I've since hard-pivoted into games, since now I have several careers in the industry.

****I gave them the money I'd saved to print the book, and they had a home again. I felt something break in me as the PayPal transaction went through, like the muffled crush of glass under a cloth.

***I'd kept going though, pulling together my first solo book and saving up money for hard copies when my family's home was repossessed by their bank. They would need a new place to go, and they had found one, but getting in would be more money than they had.

**I got just enough exposure that a previous abuser could find me, and use his social network to stalk me online and at my public appearances. It showed up in my work in ugly ways, and it makes looking back difficult.

Leading up to 2017 *I had been abused during my last year of college, and could not for the life of me find treatment. Instead I withdrew from most of my friends and industry connections, and tried to make a new life on the outskirts of the city.

It makes me really sad to admit that out loud, and for years I've been struggling to find my way back in. Here's what happened though...

B from Jamjar @hambungler.bsky.social · 20/02/2025

I need to put this somewhere because I've spent the last eight years feeling like a failure when I'm absolutely not. In 2017 I cracked in half and quit indie comics. I didn't want to, and I didn't realize that's what happened until years later.
