Here is my best Habermas story. I am grad student waiting in LONG line for Habermas talk. There is a tall man waiting in front of me. Line moves so we are eventually visible to organizers, a woman looks over & makes horrified face. Runs out: "Prof Habermas! You don't have to wait in line!"

Our work now on its final version. We mapped the mechanical properties of roots at tissue and single cell levels using Brillouin microscopy and molecular rotors. Additional mutants and stress measurements from what we previously showed in the preprint are included. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

For herd immunity against measles, 92-95% of the population must be vaccinated. As a live vaccine MMR can’t be given to pts who are immune suppressed (including pts receiving chemo/radiation or immunosuppression) And it’s not effective in newborns. So if you CAN get it, we REALLY need you to.

I hear what you are saying - I would reframe it and say we need to change our expectations. We still want excellent science, but maybe we finally stop the ridiculous notion that a 20+ author paper in Cell means more about student X than a 3 author paper in Development. /1
