Comic. [A person and a second person with a ponytail sitting at a table with a screen showing a soccer game behind them.] PERSON 1: They could be in trouble. Over the last 36 years, they’ve gone 0 for 2 when they’ve scored in the 37th minute to lead 2-1 against a team whose country comes before theirs alphabetically. [caption] I wish sports commentators hadn’t discovered p-hacking.

Perhaps the most amazing thing is that 10,000 fans, 2 sets of the most experienced teams and players, and up-teen million viewers at home miss the fact that Czechia has 6 players on the ice that leads directly to a go-ahead goal. Amazing.

Real peer review has never been tried - Works in Progress Magazine
Outdated forms of peer review create bottlenecks that slow science. But in a world where research can now circulate rapidly on the Internet, we need to develop new ways to do science in public.

When I become rich, I will create my own hockey channel where commentators are forced to provide inferential statistics (CI, p-value, ACC, *anything*) for each proposed prognostic indicator. There will be clinical trials: random forced shavings, etc ... HNIC et al. have given stats a bad name.
