#Pupil #retina #visual @anavili.bsky.social @veerahelmisofia.bsky.social @hakankarsilar.bsky.social What is most striking in these findings is not that pupil dynamics reflect internal cognitive states, but that they reveal the central operational role of the visual sensory interface ...

Are you interested in psychological experiments, but feel a little unsure about programming. Try OpenSesame. Not only has it a user-friendly GUI, it is also connected to SigmundAI, an AI assistant that can basically make the experiment for you! Super cool stuff by @cogsci.nl

SigmundAI.eu can now implement complete psychological experiments in #OpenSesame. From scratch based on verbal description. Astonishing how far #AI has come 😵‍💫 #psychology

Neural evidence for modality-independent storage in working memory
Suplica et al. provide human EEG evidence for a modality-independent, item-based signature of working memory storage. The study provides further evidence for an abstract indexing operation underlying ...

NIH grant terminated because of its topic. Just one of many terrifying things happening in the US. Good luck to those (directly) affected.

Cognitive neuroscience: How the brain navigates abstract task spaces
Humans and other animals learn the abstract structure of a task and then use this structure to rapidly generalize to new situations. A recent study reveals how the brain builds and uses abstract task ...

SigmundAI.eu now supports #OpenAI o1, a model that has been specifically designed for multistep reasoning. Indeed, it outperforms all other models on (difficult) OpenSesame benchmark questions. I hope to see this performance also in open-source models soon!
