when i was 13, a teacher decided to devote some weekly time to deconstruct advertisements and media messaging an absolute epiphany she would give us a page ripped from a magazine, and ask us to analyse the advert to the class her lessons on this topic changed my life - wish i could thank her now

This is the aftermath of an ICE kidnapping a few blocks from my home in St. Paul—an hour ago. A quiet street full of broken glass and at least three wrecked cars. The target of the kidnapping was taken away by ambulance. He was on a stretcher and covered by a sheet, though a cop said he was alive.

The videos are crystal clear for any adult who is unwilling to lie through their teeth: ICE murdered that woman when she presented no credible threat to them. She did not drive at them. She did not compromise their safety. That was a summary execution of a U.S. citizen.
