a lot of people actually think it's fine to have some painted-over cat hairs. some people prefer it. i saw an elminiaturista tutorial where he explained that you should try to draw attention to painted-over cat hairs with OSL, because a lot of people think it looks really good actually,

Went outside. It was good.

6) Scavengers Reign is a thrilling, violent sci-fi tale that does extraordinary things with its environmental worldbuilding. The way it details the various cycles of life and balances them with this desperate, claustrophobic depiction of mankind makes it ceaselessly rewatchable.

A spring 1993 ad for Earthdawn, a TTRPG by FASA Corporation, leading up to its release later that year. It was set in the distant past as civilization slowly returned to its feet, emerging from massive underground "kaers" that warded the lucky survivors for centuries from an otherworldly scourge.

Though the threat of otherworldly Horrors had passed, the world that survived outside the walls of the kaerns that protected those lucky enough to live in one wasn't completely free from danger. As those who survived once again moved to rebuild kingdoms and empires on the surface, old rivalries and curiosity would spark a new age of exploration and adventure.

FASA's new setting was celebrated with a large number of sourcebooks and material and had, at first, ties to another famous FASA product: Shadowrun. However, Earthdawn's IP has since moved on to other hands that have removed such references from later material.

Was looking at the Silent Hill Townfall concept art and my jaw dropped. Was back in my hometown tonight so I had to go and take a photo. There are many ways to mock my beloved Coatbridge, but “your home’s so miserable it was used as concept art for a Silent Hill game” is a new one for me

Pompeii is a UNESCO world heritage site not because it was remarkable in its prime, but because it survived to our era untouched: one moment, preserved for all time. But future generations won't know what OUR world was like unless we do the same. This is why we MUST bury Toronto with a volcano

I'm not much of a Pokémon person, but my son is & trying to buy him cards at retail prices has been nigh on impossible the last couple of years, and I refuse to pay scalpers for anything. So it warms the cockles of my heart to see so many of them having a full meltdown about the recent set. Enjoy!!

In 1518, Tenochtitlán (now Mexico City) was one of the largest cities in the world. Today, very few traces remain of that Mexica city, but the Portrait of Tenochtitlán project created a fantastic 3D reconstruction using historical and archaeological sources: tenochtitlan.thomaskole.nl/index.html

A paper just dropped recently on some of the recovered Symes and Becchina frescoes, including some new ones that I I wasn't familiar with! One includes cavalrymen with montefortino helmets, with trident crests and plumes, and one of the shields includes a helmet with a transverse crest!

Took the cult to Challenger’s Cup, despite the state of the game for us—finally enough energy to yap. 2-3-1, jumping on a lot of grenades in the draft. Turns out Grey Knights in R4 was supposed to 0-20 me, so I feel pretty smug now. Got to detour thru Yellowstone & Teton on the way home too!

My thoughts on the space marine codex basically amounts to none of this meaning anything because as the default army, everybody will always counterplay for marines as default target practice But also I’d really love if any other army ever got a refresh like this, we might see more elves or bugs

Took the cult to Challenger’s Cup this weekend. Went 2-3-1 eating hard matchups for the team, one of our highest performers—can’t complain, but I’ll still kick myself for missin a few things. Placed silver for hobby, great talk with the judges and other entrants to get gold next time.
