I was told that we had months. Then we were told weeks, maybe days left until my mum passes by the nurses yesterday. Now I am being told by her doctor that she may be getting radiotherapy tomorrow. My chest hurts. I don't understand why they would fuck with us like this.

It's terminal. My mum. I am too tired from crying. Last night Goblin Cat lay on me and hissed at anyone, human or cat, who approached. I thought I wouldn't sleep but I can't seem to stop sleeping. Weird moments of almost mania, then exhaustion. No more anger. Nausea, mostly.

Narrowband NGC 3293 - The Gem Cluster - From Rolf Wahl Olsen - flic.kr/p/2pSMtxp

NGC 3293, often referred to as the Gem Cluster, is a spectacular bright open star cluster located in the constellation of Carina. In this narrowband bicolour image the delicate nebulosity across the entire background really stands out.
It is one of the Southern Sky's finest binocular objects and consists of nearly one hundred stars huddled together in a tight group, with a contrasting bright red supergiant near it's centre - similar in appearance to Kappa Crucis in the Jewel Box Cluster.
Floating against a colourful backdrop of Milky Way stars and red Hydrogen emission, the cluster is also surrounded by a delicate faint blue haze visible in broadband images.
The cluster was discovered by Abbé Nicolas Louis de La Caille in 1752 during his expedition to the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa.

2 things I find interesting about this upon first skim: 1. The assumption that liminal spaces like the Backrooms are corporate, or even specifically office spaces. 2. That the emergence of this anonymised and crowdsourced genre is fuelled specifically by an American corporate anxiety.
