I’ve been watching the predator movies recently. I really like the practical effects and how they’re framed as action even though they’re categorized as horror. I just started the fourth movie, and man… I didn’t expect the jump from classic action premises to “magical autism” inspirational flick

Any of yall have really niche pet peeves? Mine is intergalactic sci fi using earth-centric measurements, especially for time. Like, your planet is 2 galaxies and a wormhole away, but you still count age in earth years? Not an intergalactic unit, or even years or seasons localized to your planet?

Like, I live here with my spouse and cats, we’ve made the place nice and cozy and it’s what I mean when I say home normally, but that longing doesn’t recognize it… I wonder what “home” really means to me

Fixing a car engine, ice skating, eating an ice cream cone, ducking gunfire. You gotta give your characters "business" so they're not just standing there yappin'.
