After a maddeningly quiet week on the selling front, we received news today that a prospective buyer is getting a prequal from their bank tomorrow and another interested party is viewing the house tomorrow. Plus we're having an open house Sunday (if needed). Trying to be optimistic.

Hit up a couple of legendary spots in Tulsa today. Leon Russell's Church Studio and Cain's Ballroom, the home of Bob Wills from 1935-1942.

Funeral is over. It went great. Quick graveyard service and then into the air conditioning to chat with everyone that showed up. Then the family members converged to pick the house clean of antiques. I didn't care; if something made them happy, they could have it. Now it's quiet. Nap time.

Labor Day always held a special place in my household growing up. Mac was a union man for 65 years out of Plumbers & Pipe Fitters Union 178 in Springfield, MO. That brotherhood, both figurative and literal, as the Union allowed him to work with his father and brother, meant the world to him.
