Goodreads is turning off direct messaging soon. That was a pretty important feature for me. When there were five reviews of some weird, esoteric research text, I'd often get in touch with one of the reviewers. Not many other avenues for that sort of thing. Time to abandon the GR ship, IMO.

WOW. Iain M. Banks's Use of Weapons was one of my most profound literary experiences, period. Any Culture novel being adapted seems incredibly ambitious to me since so much of Banks' work involved capturing a tone that might not easily translate onto the screen. I am really excited, though!

Found out recently that Amazon pretty much makes books impossible to find via searches until they have more than 20 reviews. Books don't get included in recommendations until 50 reviews. My first novel, Burden to Bear, only has 14 Amazon reviews. I'm asking for help. And I'm dropping the price.
