The Kylver runestone originates from the 400s, pre-dating the Viking Age with almost 400 years. Being 1600 years old it lacks the artwork seen in later runestones. It is famous for having the entire Elder Futhark carved into it - runes that were replaced by the Younger Futhark during the Viking Age.

Reproduction of the forged iron chain and amulet ring with 4 Thor's Hammers that was found in Birka, Sweden. Due to the total length of the original item, there are theories that it could actually be worn on the head, with the hammers dangling on the forehead. grimfrost.com/collections/...

Bökstastenen (U 855) in Uppland, Sweden. Here it is not the runic inscription that is most famous, but rather the imagery within. It contains what is believed to be the oldest picture of a skier. The figure, holding a bow and arrow in hand, is interpreted as the god of hunting, Ullr.
Runestone with a runic inscription around the edge and a hunting scene within. The hunting scene contains the famous skier, a rider with a spear, as well as two smaller animals hunting a horned animal, and two birds.

I counsel thee, Stray-Singer, accept my counsels, they will be thy boon if thou obey'st them, they will work thy weal if thou win'st them: be never the first with friend of thine to break the bond of fellowship; care shall gnaw thy heart if thou canst not tell all thy mind to another. -Hávamál 120

This amazingly detailed glass bead is another example of the vast trading networks in the ancient world. Crafted in Egypt, it made its way to Gotland, Sweden from the Black Sea region around 100-400 AD. That’s over 1500 years ago and hundreds of years before the launch of the Viking Age.
