There was a time when the Mantra of #Bluejays fans was “just give me meaningful baseball in September”. Despite the outcome & expanded expectations we got that in ‘26 & in the end, today was maybe the most meaningful in the best possible way.

This thing with Vlad’s is silly. Nobody “earns” $500mil to play a game. It’s a gift from DNA or God or the Universe, yes ppl work hard but it’s just a game. The best you can do is play with gratitude for the gift & sit when you can’t. Anything else is death by impossible expectation. #Bluejays

I quit smoking when my Dr. told me I could either do it then, or when I died from it. Now #Bluejays season is dying & Schneider is forced to sit Vlad. He could have done it 2 months ago when it mattered, but chose to wait until forced. I can’t not question the judgement.

Last week someone posted that John Schneider kept pulling guys that were throwing zeros & leaving guys letting in runs. Of course there is a game plan, if this then that, matchup stats all of that. Very deep. Tonight’s plan, not planning for a failing Soriano in the 6th, was shite. #Bluejays

I poked at Ernie for the error but Mr. Cease walked 6 guys in 2.2 innings incl the first 2 guys. The E matters less if you don’t hand out free tickets like candy. Texas couldn’t believe their luck. Frankly neither could I. 2nd start in a row. Huh. #Bluejays

Leave the bases loaded twice, a no hitter in the 7th turns into 3 (three) hung breaking pitches in a row getting smacked (who called the 3rd one???) you get the lead back then your closer shits the bed, including a blown PFP play that gave up the lead. I mean really. #Bluejays

The refusal to move Guerrero out of the top 3 is the same stubborn foolishness that had us watch the rarest thing in baseball, an entire season of elite team pitching, be fully wasted in 2023, refusing to address the offence with “they’ll come around”. It was BS then & it’s BS now. #Bluejays

You can’t win in MLB with two starting pitchers. That’s far from the #Bluejays only problem but it’s hard to imagine how any team could survive it. Some might even call it a blessing, “living the dream” already having become “braving the nightmare”.

I’ve bled #Bluejays blue forever. Hell we vacationed in San Pedro de Macoris in the 80’s while Haiti was in revolt, just to see where George Bell came from (insane trip btw). 2025 was amazing & I’ll always cherish that team, but facts - it’s hard to see how they deserve an Oct run in ‘26.
