A little over 13 years ago, I created an anagram map for Sydney's CityRail Network, as a labour of love for my then boyfriend (and now husband). Sydney's transport infrastructure has evolved massively since that original anagram map, which is now just a bit outdated.

Fossil Fuels Boost Indoor Pollutants in Canadian Homes
In an era where the safety and purity of our living environments are under increasing scrutiny, a groundbreaking study recently published in the Journal of Exposure Science and Environmental Epidemiology sheds urgent light on the hidden dangers lurking within Canadian homes. Led by researchers Sun, Héroux, Xu, and their colleagues, the investigation uncovers compelling associations between the combustion of fossil fuels in residential settings and elevated concentrations of harmful indoor air pollutants, namely nitrogen dioxide (NO₂), carbon monoxide (CO), and aldehydes.

PFAS Levels Vary by Occupation in Arizona Workers
In a groundbreaking study published in the Journal of Exposure Science and Environmental Epidemiology, researchers have unveiled striking differences in the serum concentrations of per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) among various occupational groups in Arizona from 2020 to 2023. This comprehensive investigation provides a critical lens into how environmental exposure to these persistent and potentially harmful chemicals varies among firefighters, other first responders, healthcare workers, and essential workers, implications of which stretch far beyond local boundaries into broader public health concerns.
