A little over 13 years ago, I created an anagram map for Sydney's CityRail Network, as a labour of love for my then boyfriend (and now husband). Sydney's transport infrastructure has evolved massively since that original anagram map, which is now just a bit outdated.

Another weekend, another move. Next up: The Visitor (2024) Well... That was... something. We're glad we watched it, but this is a very strange film. We appreciated this movie and the themes it explored. With that being said, exercise discretion when watching. 6/10 #NateRates #FilmSky #MovieSky

The Visitor is a 2024 British film directed by Bruce LaBruce. The film, starring burlesque actor Bishop Black in titular role, is a new interpretation of Pier Paolo Pasolini's 1968 allegorical film Teorema, depicted in explicit sex scenes.

Last up on our movie weekend: Popeye: The Slayer Man (2025) A straightforward B-Horror movie, with some flat acting, sprinkled with humour and some basic-but-fun practical effects. A little predictable but overall pretty competent and a decent watch. 5.0/10 #NateRates #FilmSky #MovieSky

Next up for our weekend movie session: Gorp (1980) Tagline: "A bunch of fruits, nuts and flakes" I won't spend much time on reviewing this. Take all the worst aspects of your 80's fraternity comedy movies, and let the actors loose. 3/10 #NateRates #FilmSky #MovieSky

Another weekend, so another series of movies for my husband and I to enjoy. First up, Street Fighter (1994). A fun, campy and seemingly self-aware flurry of action, this was enjoyable but perhaps over-long, especially towards the end. 5/10 #NateRates #FilmSky #MovieSky

Today is #NationalTeflonDay 🍳 Teflon is a fluorochemical, a group of stable and long-lived compounds that have generated environmental and health concerns. This graphic looks at the uses of these compounds, the concerns, and possible alternatives: www.compoundchem.com/2024/12/06/p... #ChemSky 🧪
Infographic on fluorinated 'forever chemicals' and where to find them. Fluorochemicals are organic (carbon-based) compounds that contain fluorine atoms in place of hydrogen atoms. These compounds are often referred to as “per and polyfluoroalkyl substances”, or PFAS.

The bond between carbon and fluorine atoms are very strong and stable. Because of this, PFAS don’t break down easily and can accumulate, posing potential problems for human health and the environment.

The graphic goes on to show the structures of some common PFAS and details their uses.

The globalization of news has made the whole world’s problems our problem, fostering a sense of powerlessness that’s led many to redefine morality from “doing good” to merely “feeling bad”. C. S. Lewis wrote of this in his 1946 letter to Bede Griffiths:

That's a pity. At the very least Sweden has some variety in its supermarkets. Coop, ICA, Hemköp, Lidl, Willys, plus other smaller local stores like Matcenter. Also depending on the season smaller farmers markets. Broadly, it seems like there is much more competition than Australia.
