Passed a coyote in an empty field today. The coyote was the size of a small deer but even before I knew what it was, I knew it wasn’t a deer. When deer move they’re on the lookout for…whereas a coyote or any predator really, is looking for. It’s a minor distinction but it means everything.

Saw more ospreys than seagulls, at least one whale, and dolphins today. I’ve fished all my life and have never seen the numbers of marine mammals I’ve seen in the last ten years. I can’t stress how hard you should fuck yourself if you voted for the current administration. They would undue all this.
