a tweak: open source is ABOUT people … with quality as a means to that end we have the rare freedom to practise the craft + the joy of building with friends, for its own sake. I hope open source communities flourish – we must look after our mental health more than ever. but a cautionary note 👇
Could it be true, that Open Source is the last bastion to care about quality, while businesses need to be fast and care less, cause they need to compete… What do you think about that? Thanks in advance. Text on a grainy yellow-to-fuchsia-to-blue gradient.

AgentScan data, gathered hourly from 400 repos, clearly shows that for every PR you receive during the week-end, 1/3 to 1/2 will most likely be from an agent. Now using AgentScan helps OSS maintainers triage, to keep week-ends enjoyable.

GitHub doesn't show how many projects use your GitHub Action or GitHub App, so I wrote a custom script to retrieve that information for AgentScan. I didn't expect this many projects ❤️ I'm stoked on one end and sad on the other for the mess AI spam is causing. Stay positive 💪

🧾 Introducing npm.tax Estimate the probability of being impacted by a breach in your npm supply chain. Adjust the knobs to see how slimming your node_modules lowers your risk. Look up a package to see its own risk profile, then share the report, e.g. npm.tax?direct=59&tr.... What's your npm tax?
