to be clear this isn't about what goes on sale it's about what sales get shown to you on the front page

It's perhaps the single most vulnerable album of the 90s lyrically (high bar I know but I truly believe it) and this terrified them because they refuse to look inward

we don't quite know what momentum based means yet bc we've seen so little but it does seem perhaps more inspired by gnasty's loot and the gaining height element. regardless I'm excited for something new

I feel like a lot of people have only ever played the trilogy and so the inevitable shock when it takes inspiration from DotD is gonna be interesting for sure

loving the innovations being made in cuck technology these days

An astute observer studying a bed from a nearby desk

A curious gentleman observing a bed from behind a bathroom door

A relaxed individual observing a bed from the comfort of his couch

An impressed lad observing a bed from a nearby seat

I mean idk, they're moving forward with blue beetle so this would've been the perfect way to set up the jli which would've indicated an actual plan. but instead it just feels like they're just throwing things at the wall and hoping it'll all work itself out somehow

overheard on a plane 5 YEAR OLD GIRL: Mom, are you driving us? MOM: No, he'll take off soon. GIRL: A man is driving us? MOM: Yes. GIRL: Oh no!

I think the big thing people miss with this point is that most people don't interact with installers at all. Like yes the Linux installer is no harder than the Windows installer but you know what's even easier? Buying a device and turning it on

I don't know if this is serious but 1. manual moderation is one of the most despicable jobs you could hire for, a buddy of mine makes dirt wages at meta to stare at gore all day and I would rather no one have to do that ever again 2. "ai moderation" has existed for longer than generative ai

It's so interesting because it's a genuine mystery. Like, is Lau somehow alive? Did Lei Fei manage to steal his style? Is it a new person entirely? So much unanswered in the best way

what makes it especially strange is the fact that he's been an active member of the community for like a decade and was generally considered one of the greatest to ever do it. no idea why he would throw his entire reputation away for a mid youtube video 😭

me when media I like is financially successful: hmm yes this is because it is good me when media I like flops: yknow I just choose not to consume art based on the interests of the masses. I guess I'm just kinda unique like that. if anything the fact that it's doing poorly is a testament to its quali

but this... is true? it's a night and day difference looking at how much the yoshi's series has regressed into being mindless paint by numbers a game can be for kids without being vapid, in the same way that "it's for kids" is not a defense of bad movies or shows

210 2

Vinny @grapevine.bsky.social · 27/05/2026

not at all shocked that people are refusing to engage with this one lol the original yoshi's island respects you as a player and doesn't mindlessly play itself despite being made for children because the entire point is learning motor skills and having fun while doing it

in their defense they've been pretty liberal with placeholder text and ui in previous showcases so I'm cautiously optimistic that this isn't the actual logo

Yeah I get why people were begging for dropouts in March but it’s truly fine now. Mahan is so conservative that he probably pulls a lot of moderate republican voters over the aisle, Porter will never drop because this is her last chance at anything, and everyone else combines for a rounding error

wild how people are citing DSA doing the exact thing he’s asking for in the replies and he’s like “that doesn’t count because I haven’t heard about it”

I know I'm being the guy in the meme but like. you can absolutely just install mint on a laptop and hand it to your grandpa and he'll be more likely to understand it than windows. the initial "oh what distro, what desktop coagulator, etc" is a lot of effort but that truly is the only relative hurdle

everyone is understandably blaming trump for this, but the reality is that this was going to happen regardless. they desperately needed that jetblue buyout and blocking that cemented this path, trump just accelerated it

she asked porter to respond to the claim that reducing oil production would increase pollution (???), porter clearly explained how it wouldn’t, then the mod said “so the answer is yes, it would increase pollution, and oil prices!” then cut her mic 😭😭 just shameful
