Day 28 of #SciArtSeptember prompt is linen. It’s not a material I typically work with (even when printing on textiles) but you can find my #sciart printed on linen in my minouette Spoonflower shop including tea towels (cotton/linen blend) with my ‘Mmm… coffee’ linocut featuring a caffeine molecule!

My ‘Mmm … coffee’ linocut printed on a tea towel shot on a white background. The illustration shows a mug viewed from above and off to the side with shadow and swirling aroma lines in which appears a caffeine molecule. At the top (at the edge of the swirling aroma lines) is written “Mmm” and at the bottom “COFFEE”. The print was made in dark brown on beige.

So sorry for the ping, just wanted to make sure everyone was aware of a pretty bad OBS exploit going around that involves chat overlays: https://cyberinsider.com/malicious-twitch-chat-messages-can-trigger-code-execution-on-obs-studio/

👉 Mix It Up's chat overlay widget is unaffected by this exploit 👈

This is due in part to multiple layers of message escaping and sanitization, as well as the message injection method we use to render the message into the overlay widget (we use textContent instead of innerHTML)

If you're running chat widgets outside of Mix It Up, might be worth checking with the developer to see if their chat widgets are impacted.

OBS has a fix in place in the new v33.0.0-beta4 for those willing to roll the dice on a pre-release, but it hasn't officially rolled out to their public version yet.

since people have been asking me about this all of the widgets I've made for Slime2 desktop simply insert user input (such as chat messages) as plain text. it does not allow those chat messages to create HTML, uses textContent to insert them instead of the dangerous innerHTML

Nobody asked but I've always been particularly partial to Strawberry Bird of all the fruits. Their design just made logical sense to me (Much like Apple Bird) and I really cooked. They're just little guys.

If anybody wants an update on the UK specific Age check shit, well we have credit card as an option now. So unless you have a credit card or willingness to set yourself up for data harvesting /and/ hacking, we're still little children to life and society.

The Confirm your age group screen specifically for the UK that has been under age restrictions for coming up to a year and a half soon. It demands a credit card, a video selfie or an ID scan with no other options.
