There’s no way only 8,281 forms were submitted out of nearly 100K public school students. Come to find out — parents, when we upload the student health forms online during enrollment, DC Health does not get access to those. DC Health only gets paper forms turned into schools.

NEW: We defeated a lawsuit seeking to block new housing on upper Connecticut Avenue NW. The lawsuit challenged zoning changes that will allow multifamily housing in the DC neighborhood with the fewest affordable units. We’re fighting for more homes to drive down housing costs for everyone in DC.

DC’s FY27 budget proposal reflects the new 25/75 federal-local split for SNAP. Considering the other fed changes for SNAP & Medicaid also requires a significant tech system upgrade — the only winners here are contractors.

A particular characteristic of the US press is that it runs in narrative cycles, and breaking them of those cycles is nearly impossible. When Hortman was killed, the press was already pushing "growing violence on the left," and so basically just chose to ignore the implications of her assassination.
