This is a great example of why you should disable Steam's dumb language filters. Most people are only seeing a random visual novel they never heard about with a couple of reviews. It has over 10,000 reviews. These filters do nothing except lock you in inside a bubble.

Tried opening one of several locked doors in Butler Guillotine and was met with this. The simplest yet genuienly funniest way of saying "this door is locked" that I've seen in a video game. I laughed out loud til I started coughing! Hat's off to you, @goodbyestatic.bsky.social!

Someone chinese patched Butler Guillotine before I was even able to figure out how the fuck I was going to localize the four-year-old unstable mess that is this game's systems. Time for a case of "the LITERAL DEVELOPER asking someone how they translated HIS OWN GAME" Thank you, whoever you are.
