McGovern: "A family making less than $50,000 a year? They get less than $1 a day in tax cuts. You can't buy a damn cup of coffee with that. But those making a million dollars or more? They'll get more than $250 a day in tax breaks ... that's how rigged this bill is to benefit the wealthy."

Going back to Ghost of Tsushima for the Ps5. Started on the ps4 and loved it. But life caused me to take a break. But now I can pick up where’s I left off, still just as fun as I remember it!

Maybe it's the 'tism but I will genuinely never understand why people are so goddamn mean on the internet like you have a magical device made of crystals and gold mined from the earth that connects to an infinite web of every bit of knowledge ever known by mankind, at any given moment of the day you can learn to do anything, make anything, cook anything, play any instrument, speak any language, read any book, a vast network of humanity and hope and people still use it to be absolute assholes.

May marks Mental Health Awareness Month in Illinois — a time to reflect on how far we’ve come and recommit to the work ahead. Whether it's strengthening the 988 call center services or launching a centralized care portal, we're making sure Illinoisans have the care they need.

This is the problem with America. I read an article on the Street, the title was Chipotle was in trouble. They are up almost 3 BILLION dollar in revenue from last year. But they expected 3.1 Billion, so it’s a problem. No one will shed a tear over that pittance when people are actually suffering.

In Illinois, we're proud to have sparked a new industry when we legalized adult-use cannabis. The State surpassed $2B in record-setting sales in 2024, generating more than $490M in tax revenue. And this 4/20, we saw a 9% increase over last year in products sold at over $15M.

On day one of my administration, I promised to get big things done for Illinoisans. We've raised the minimum wage, guaranteed paid leave for workers, enshrined the right to choose, legalized adult-use cannabis, and rebuilt our infrastructure. It's just the start.

I was today years old when I realized the team captain Gerry Bertier from Remember the Titans and Thor from God of War Ragnorak are the same person. 🤯

Still frame from the movie, remember the Titans of a young actor in a dirty football uniform talking to Denzel Washington

Thank you for the transcription. I thought this passage was particularly good:

And in the midst of this existential fight, this battle that seems to consume everything, well, let's not take the soul-sucking path of sacrificing the most persecuted for that which we deem to be most popular. I know that there are transgender children right now looking out at this world and wondering if anyone is going to stand up for them and for their simple right to exist. Well, I am. We are. We will.

Daredevil is back and picked up right where it left off. I enjoyed the two episodes but almost wish they would give Kingpin a break. Nothing against Vincent, he’s awesome. But hopefully a different big bad can be a focus this season.
