Got my GB Operator today and wow, it is GREAT! Not only does it work as a cartridge player / backup device, plus uploading homebrew etc, but they created an iOS app that authenticates cartridges on the go! Amazing for retro fleamarkets and bargain bin hunting. Love it! 🥳

Also, the absolute barrage of AI slop makes it even harder to find actual, human made music. I know that’s a general thing, but synthwave in particular appears to have a whole generation of talentless white dudes in their 50s spew prompts into theft-machines which makes them feel good.

I had those. Their only SLIGHT problem was a condenser overload which meant that after having been turned on and at more than 40% volume for more than a few hours they went into self-resonaring mode and screamed at max gain until you pulled the plug and cooled them down.
