Got my GB Operator today and wow, it is GREAT! Not only does it work as a cartridge player / backup device, plus uploading homebrew etc, but they created an iOS app that authenticates cartridges on the go! Amazing for retro fleamarkets and bargain bin hunting. Love it! 🥳

I hope this is a joke but the "holding the microphone"-slop is triggering.

Goodbye Evernote. I do not accept you doubling the price of the .. checks notes... "text note sync service".. to almost $250/year. That's insane.

”Control Resonant” is just a few days away, but if you for some weird reason have not yet played the original “Control”, now is an excellent time to do so. Autumn gaming at its best!

Wanted to watch some of the Emmy's acceptance speeches, and impressively, every single one had reference frame corruption/inter-frame error propagation! Also; not a single one includes the point when the winners are announced, which is what people want to see.

Now they've added a red warning to it as well. Any change in my subscription status? No. Any reason for it to draw attention to itself? Nope. And yet.. there's a shouty, red dot in my eyeline when I try to write. Good stuff Microsoft - good stuff.

Well, that's interesting because what I actually did was cancel it. As in; fully cancel - click past all the "Are you sure..?" boxes and dark patterns. Sigh.

How nice that Word has a non-dismissable nag button in my legally purchased version of Word. What's the "upgrade" you ask? A family subscription or AI credits. I need either. Is the nag button removable? Nope.

They also started a secondary channel (which also appears to be the standard now), which was for "long form content" in early 2024, but as you can see, in early 2025, the video durations basically converged. YouTube demands long-form content now.

I'm sure everyone has noticed that YouTube videos keep getting longer and longer (likely because YouTube wants to win eyeballs from streamers), but it's getting insane. In 2020, the average duration of a video on a channel I (used to) follow was 9 minutes. Now, it's 39 minutes.

Went to see «The End of Oak Street» and it was a fun time at the cinema! Popcorn movie with an Amblin flair, albeit somewhat darker. Nothing really surprising happens, but it doesn’t matter! 🍿

If you're doing a demo of a plugin or synth and it takes you 2 minutes and 47 seconds before the first sound is heard.. sorry, but you have just failed as a communicator. SHOW don't TELL. I don't care who you are, I don't want to be welcomed to your channel, I just don't care.. play the sound.

Seeing Merrit Wever in the trailer for "Primetime" which features a scene where they slap "To catch a Predator" over the "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip" slot was very meta.

Good job Google. You're not getting stupider by the day at all.

A Google search box showing "11am est to norway time" which shows a map and a route from my rough location in Norway to the geographical center of the country. An utterly absurd response to a timezone question.

While I did go to a special screening of “Plan 9 from outer space” that was mostly to see the famous movie in its natural habitat and it was bad but good bad. I think the worst movie I actually was looking forward to see was “Alone in the dark” (because of the game), and man.. soooo bad.

While in Japan, my daughter and I foolishly started to watch “Neon Genesis Evangelion” to wind down after long days of walking and shopping, and yeah.. we’re both fans now. This Misato & PenPen figure was nowhere to be found during our figure hunting BUT I found it on eBay when we got home. PenPen❤️
