Might as well post it here! A magical girl animation I've been slowly chipping at over the weekends for ages.

I'm behind, but finally started watching Trigun Stampede and half of the vibe of this show feels like it needs more vaporwave.

Sometimes you just need to go touch grass. A lot of grass. Maybe roll in it a little too.

Photos of rocky grass covered hills with a bay in the .middle and grey cloud covered skies.

Large grassy field with grassy hills in the background and small stone barn with a fence on the lower right corner.

As a person who works in animation, whenever I talk to someone working in video games, the conversation always basically goes like: "I'm so sorry for what's happening to you.." "No I'M sorry for what's happening to YOU!" "no YOU have it SO MUCH WORSE" "DON'T YOU DARE say that, YOU have it HORRIBLE"

I never showed the pre-production and post look of my animation cells once they're finished. I picked Karim, my half-elf warlock as the study. These are so rewarding once they're finished.

Happy Valentine's day everyone 🌹🚬💿 Out of all the ships we've celebrated over the years, it never felt quite right to touch on Trigger and Boggmouth until this point in the story. Things aren't perfectly mended between these two, but maybe in time.... In time....

Digital illustration of Trigger and Boggmouth from the webcomic Ghost Junk Sickness looking in opposite directions near Boggmouth's bike. Trigger is smoking and holding a bouquet of roses and Boggmouth is sitting on a stool and listening to music. There's a valentine stuck between the handlebar and acceleration of the bike and the backdrop is a skyline of Gefjun.

I just saw this instagram post from the incredibly talented and breathtakingly hilarious Kate Welch, who was laid off around a year ago, and I wanted to share it here. It’s an important message, and you deserve to read it: (thread)

A title image reads “So Youve Just Been
Laid Off
a post-corporate message from @katewelchhhh”

“One year ago, I was laid off from my corporate gaming job. For the first time in my 15-year career, I was unemployed without a next secure, salaried job on the horizon. I am either exceptionally lucky or talented, but it doesn't matter which it is - both no longer seem applicable.”

I hope now that the aggressive rise of independent studios and talented artists in response to this gains traction and continues forward. People need stories told by other humans, its one of the great things that connect us all.

🍄🌿Tao🌿🍄 @ Avalon Expo @gladewinds.bsky.social · 04/02/2026

In the last decade I've watched an industry I love and have worked in be decimated from the inside out not only by software companies but outsourcing as studios were bought by investors wanting unsustainable infinite returns, not to create stories.

The shit part about most animation in America is that we keep making animators who are so goddamn passionate and skilled yet we force them to do other things because outsourcing is cheap and exploitative as all hell.

Back from visiting family and I'm sick as all hell but had the luck to see the Marie Antointte exhibit at the V&A museum. Im glad the depth it gave beyond just her fashion sense.
