Bears went on the road to a team that spent a lot of money and some draft picks to upgrade their front seven, and already had one of the best DTs in the NFL, and ran through them for 291 yards and 6 TDs. Ben Johnson you have changed my life.

Martinelli was a rare light at the end of the tunnel on some of the darkest days I've ever experienced as an Arsenal fan. And, like Saka, he was there every step of the way from our lowest lows to finally winning the title again. Hero ❤️

I know a lot of us Arsenal fans are traumatised by the whole “keeping the powder dry” days from the mid-2010s but I’m struggling to get too upset about not signing players who might be ok but also may not be for crazy money. Is anyone upset for a reason that isn’t just “transfer window FOMO”?

Arsenal are going to line up with a 39-36-41 midfield next season, with 49 coming on for one of them too, and I'm going to throw up. By all means crack on with that nonsense in Serie A and American sports leagues but at Arsenal, really?

FWIW: Miliband - obviously qualified. Effective minister. Brings political baggage. Probably (and somewhat unfairly) gets a negative market reaction. Cooper/Reynolds - well qualified for the job. Less baggage, markets more neutral. Streeting - has set out an agenda, markets probably welcome.

In truth, the peace dividend has been spent on the entire welfare state, not working-age social security. Recently the most dramatic increases have been in health. Since 1980, health spending has risen by 4.5% of GDP. Funding also came from low debt interest costs that have also recently reversed.
