It was great celebrating Labour day yesterday with the New Westminster & District Labour Council and the Vancouver & District Labour Council! It was amazing to see our communities come together to celebrate the hard-working workers!

I had the pleasure of touring McKesson Canada's state of the art pharmaceutical distribution centre in Surrey (Campbell Heights)! McKesson’s pharmaceutical distribution centre in Surrey is the largest hub for delivering medications and pharmacy supplies across BC.

Surrey's communities are safer today because of the work of Surrey Police and their partners. Over four months, a BC-funded SITE operation in resulted in 136 arrests, 54 weapons seized, and 55 charges recommended — targeting the repeat offenders who cause the most harm.

Today, my first bill, the Sexual Violence Policy Act, passed committee stage and third reading. We are one step away from it becoming law. This legislation strengthens protections against sexual violence on public post-secondary campuses, so campuses across B.C. can become safer for all students.
