My MD dad worked in the MGH polio ward in the '50s during his residency & witnessed a lot of torment. That means we degenerated from "vaccines are a miracle!" to "the guy in the supplements aisle at Whole Foods says vaccines give you diseases" in just one human's adult lifespan. Good job, everyone!

An eye-opening chat with Google AI last night. We asked questions like, how many ‘e’s in the word nineteen, how many ‘a’s in cat. It got 9/10 wrong. Then we asked it to spell the words aloud, it spelled cat k-a-a-t. Even when it spelled a word correctly, it was sure its wrong numbers were right.
