the thing is that people's understanding of fertility decline is usually not primarily driven by actual perceptions. It's driven by population chatter, including people posting things like "this massive decline is completely shocking and represents an existential crisis." And that's not correct!!!!

The program has had bipartisan support since 2009, and Congress last reauthorized it in February 2026. "It's been wildly successful," said senior policy analyst Christina Piecora. Data suggests pregnancy has dropped 78% between 2007 and 2025 for teens aged 15–17. ✍️ @cameronoakes.bsky.social

Misoprostol can make you poop a lot because it stimulates all smooth muscle. Get some electrolytes handy if you ever self-manage your abortion with pills. This is a fun fact but also a PSA.

I just learned the concept of pop up bagels and I'm horrified. There is no way on this earth I will buy a minimum of three mini bagels to _dip them_ in a tub of cream cheese. Sir, if I'm putting $13 per order I shouldn't be the one assembling the bagel(s).

But we know a lot less than most people think about the age-shape of the ability to conceive, and anyway, it's not a fucking mandate. They present these graphs earnestly hoping people will think they only have a 52% chance of conceiving after age 30.

You can't ethically write 4,000 words of your thesis in an afternoon with AI. I'll pass delusion, deadline panic, even a pack of cigarettes and energy drinks, but surrogating your thinking abilities to an LLM that steals from artists and authors is lying to yourself.

It's no coincidence that the Department of Education removing many majors as being 'professional degrees' mostly affect fields dominated by women. Take another look at Project 2025. Women not getting federal funding for these degrees forces them out of the workforce - which is their ultimate aim.
