Also the "we're paying the taxes" email comes across as brusque. Like a parent. Like the next words are going to be "but this is the LAST time." I'm like again, this is the contractually obligated thing that we agreed to. Shut up about it. Or do they need me to be grateful? Is the Bank... needy?

I don't know if the bank thinks that people need to hear about shit like this. I mean the whole reason I did it in the first place is because it's just one more thing I never have to think about. Making me think about it is exactly the opposite of what I want.

That said, I was lucky early on to find the weirdos around me. D&D, boardgames, wargames, RenFaire, etc. if anything when I was working at the game store or hanging out it became obvious that I was in the shallower end of the weird pool. Still definitely a card-carrying dingbat but like a C- nerd.
