Probably 6? My family moved to a new city and I just became very aware of how different and awkward I was (Being the fat, autistic homeschooler with an alcoholic dad was a very heavy burden for young GJ but she did pretty good)

Im reminding myself that if I want to make sustainable changes, I *have* to take the long way and learn to enjoy things. I'm not gonna spend the next 60 years of my life miserable and punishing my body. Which means finding new things (Movement and food) that I like and having bad days

I'm finding myself kinda worried about my upcoming appointment. I've been exercising pretty consistently and while I think my eating has improved, it's not where I've wanted it to be But also 2 family deaths and a stroke hasn't been what I've wanted to deal with it so we rolling with the punches

First exercise in 2 weeks. Not injured or anything, I just hit a big wall of "I dont wanna" and decided to chill out there without judgement. Did a 3/4 of squats and weights. Yes, I'm sore and yes, thus exercise was sponsored by those 2 cookies I ate right before I got started. BUT IT IS DONE

It works because Mary is prickly and mess from the start and we're along with her for whole journey. And it gives that same grace to other undesirables of the book. Heck, the scene where Hearst runs up to Mary to talk about horse racing was adorable!! It's a good show, man. I need to read the book

Because they kept Mary recognizably Austen's Mary. The series ends with her still being Austen's Mary, just with a shiny backbone and more experience. Mary is a prickly character. Yes, we sympathize with her, she does wear on our nerves. We're rolling our eyes at her along with Lizzie

Realizing that this is why I really liked Derry Girls because James was the butt of the jokes a lot of times, A. It stopped around midway of series 2 (After they accidentally left him with the Romani travellers) and 2. He usually deserved it lol But this is also why The Other Bennet Sister works

About 15 years ago, I tutored my nephews in math. I spent time showing them the real world applications of what they were learning The last time I saw them, they were complaining to me about how their coworkers can't do basic math at their jobs & was glad I helped them out. I nearly started crying

It is indeed! Not just for the procedures but the sheer number of signs you'd have to learn or have to fingerspell if they don't actually have a sign for it. I'm nowhere near that level but I have a few friends who are. I had one from who had to interpret an autopsy class!
