Indie publishers/designers, what do you consider fair royalty rates for publishing someone’s stuff, if the publisher pays for printing, handles storage, distribution, sales etc, but the designer does all creative work. I wanna make sure my deal is good for the designer but don’t know the benchmark.

@sidneyicarus.bsky.social had a great anecdote on Start a Quest recently about designing a flight simulation for pilots, and how if you program in a 10% failure rate for a piece of equipment, pilots will just think the simulation is broken when the equipment fails.

I noticed Ayoub’s talking points RE: “outside” voices (combo of legacy named folks & unnamed others) to widen “storytelling.” It’s all built on an unspoken assumption that while D&D is not only WOTC’s (which, good to acknowledge!), it IS the only game in the conversation.

Can anyone recommend a "digital horror" (ie computers are haunted) TTRPG that's clearly written by someone who *knows* computers? I'm not talking just aesthetics: I'm talking about the strange and unnerving and existentially unsettling oddities of how computers work. I will also accept novels recs.

I recently had my backpack searched at airport security...and the security guard was quite intrigued by my Knock magazines (from @themerrymushmen.bsky.social). Though the pages getting swabed for bomb/drug traces is definitely not the strangest thing to grace the pages of Knock.
