The vibe of this #swordtember2026 entry may seem odd with the prompt werewolf but, what you have to understand I love a good curse quest item! #dnd is so bad when it comes to curses, so I thought this #homebrew sword might be fun for others who ignore a certain 3rd level spell

Cleansing Sun
Magic weapon (scimitar), very rare (can be attuned)

Illuminated by the sun this magical weapon deals and additional 2d6 Radiant damage. It also radiates bright light in a 10 feet radius around it and dim light for an additional 20 feet; this light is sunlight.

If attuned, you are unable to be affected by curses such as Lycanthropy or Vampirism. If you are currently effected by such a curse it is removed during your attunement.

$Spell Sword Magic weapon (any sword), common (can be attuned) The dark blade of this weapon refracts rainbows across its metal when in spell-light. When wielded, the Spell Sword can be used as a spellcasting focus for your spells. If attuned, this magic weapon also gains this additional property: Melee Magic. Once per combat, you may cast a ranged spell attack without disadvantage while within 5 feet of a hostile creature who can see you and who isn't incapacitated.$
