It will come as no surprise a bunch of these towns joining the 287(g) program have hyper-local histories that mirror what we're seeing today with ICE collaboration. Like Coffeeville, Alabama (pop. 250), whose mayor in 1939 was part of a group that tried to lynch a Black man.

And we absolutely should roll both Trump tax cuts back - they did nothing for growth, so they will likely to do nothing to slow growth, aside from maybe the growth of billionaires. The spending from the pandemic was the right kind; the revenue lost from buying upper income votes is absolutely not.
