It's a great day to plant a garden. 🌱Reminder, soap and water kills this parasite, lettuces, greens and herbs can be soaked with a few drops of Dr. Bronner's organic dish soap (Trader Joes), cold water. Soak again with clean water, rinse and spin. Bake raspberries, or forego.

Beginning the hardening off of our freshly potted up seedlings! These little friends will grow into our early spring crops as well as longer growing melons and pumpkins that will shade the ground and suppress weeds in our 3 sisters gardens. Can’t wait to have students back in the garden this week 🌱

Started potting up the students’ seedlings after a few weeks in the indoor nursery germinating. Finished about 100 today and will have another session today. Looking forward to abundant spring crops for sharing in the garden and cooking lessons 🌱

🌱 Some days school gardening is the glamour of troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing irrigation in between school drop off, birthday cake baking, meetings, dog walks, laundry, and school pick up. Worth it because hand watering 20 garden beds is not for me!
